About Good Smoke BBQ & Pub
Good Smoke BBQ was formed in 2006 in a bid to destroy the competition at Oinktoberfest in Clarence, NY. Well we didn’t exactly destroy the competition but we didn’t finish last either! What we did do was ignite a love affair with barbecue and the need to perfect every aspect of our cooking with the goal of becoming competitive on the professional barbecue circuit. In the intervening years we have been lucky enough to have many successes on the circuit and want to offer competition level food to our customers. Family owned by Rochester natives Brian and Kelly Wemett.

The first time my family and I went we met great workers it was on a Sunday. Troy not sure his role, Susan the Waitress, the bartender that day she was great. We went around 1pm after church. Food and the service was great, Troy told me if I wanted to watch NFL games make sure I came in during the season. They have a very large Bourbon & Whiskey menu. I went again few days later and the service and night & day. They wasn’t too busy, but maybe my visit I set the bar high in expectations. My waitress wasn’t close to Susan but the food was still amazing just not the service

Not bad but I have had better BBQ elsewhere for the same cost. The ribs are very good. The chicken wings are mediocre and for some reason they fry them which ruins the bbq tenderness. (crispy wings are for dive bars not bbq joints). The beans need some bacon or brisket added to them. The French onion soup is bad, like bad enough that they should scrap the recipe and start over. With just a few changes this place could be much better.

We had a great time. The waitress, Sarah, was great ! She knew the menu and was funny as well. The food was great, tasty, the right proportions. Cooked perfectly. Pink inside the brisket burger. Very flavorful. We will be going back . Probably try the Cuban next!. Just go, you won't be disappointed.

We came here to try some good food and saw that this place had very positive reviews. We got the bourbon BBQ burger and the jamming jerk special of the day. Our waitress Sarah was awesome and made our visit very pleasant. The place has a nice vibe and is pretty nice. The bourbon BBQ burger wasn't great for the price. We paid $20 for it and it was way overcooked which was disappointing and not worth the price. The jamming jerk was mediocre. It was also very overcooked and was promised to be spicy and it wasn't. The sides weren't too special, fries were boring and way too salty and the mac and cheese was pretty good. Both of our main dishes were overcooked which made them not taste too great. The cornbread wasn't good. It was very sweet and was too mushy. The bathrooms were in decent conditions. They was a very strong air freshener smell which wasn't good. Overall, we were very disappointed with the food and happy with the service. Not the greatest place to go for BBQ.

The staff is AMAZING 🤩 The girls working Sunday (Mar.22,2026) were some of friendliest I’ve met in a long time. They are very eager to share/help with anything you need or want to know. The food is delicious & Definitely worth the price & drive wherever you’re venturing to or from.
